One part of our direct support regards medical work. This includes working within the local health structures, helping in the coordination of medical groups in-field as well as working on long term projects. Such as setting up medical counselling via telemedicine and giving trainings for health workers. Another project regards coorperation with specialist surgeons to treat war-related trauma/orthopededic cases.
Therefore we are in connection with different local and international groups so as to have some guidance to be able to go where we are most needed, but we are also taking initiative to find and implement creative solutions for the ever-growing problems this invasion has. We are also in communication with colleagues (volunteers, doctors, paramedics and nurses) who are currently working in different health facilities throughout Rojava giving us continuous updates on the current situation on the ground.
